There was a SciFi movie that I remember as a child and the only thing I remember is the main lead male was an alien, but I don't think he knew it. There is a scene where it shows all the people who came before him and the image I remember is him walking up into a cave and there were men laid out on platforms going on forever. The closest platform had an older man that explained everything to the young man and I think he was to be the last. Don't remember anything else about it. The bad thing about NetFlix is it reminds you of all the stuff you don't remember.
