Lemon is good externally and internally; loaded with vitamin C which helps you skin from the inside out, too.

Here are he guidelines for using lemon juice externally for blemishes:

    Lemon juice - externally

Lemon juice is also a natural astringent, antiseptic, and pore reducer, so will help combat pimples and fight oily skin if you use it externally, too...

    1. When making your daily lemon drink, keep back the pulp and spread over any spots, black heads, oily areas. Leave for 20 minutes or so, then splash off with cold water.

    2. Rub the insides of the lemon halves that remain from making your lemon drink over any oily/spotty areas on your skin to help tighten pores.

    3. Soak a cotton ball with lemon juice and rub over oily areas when going to bed. Rinse off with cold water in the morning.

I don't know about lemon, I would give him a good face cleanser to use twice a day and tell him not to squeeze his pimples because it can scar

Sorry didn't read you're question properly, its advice for you :)

    Pimples.. . oh, the joy.

Dealt with pimples for the better part of my mid teens-to early twenties. First thing I realized. . NEVER SCRUB your face.. . Ever. Be gentle with your skin.

The more irritated the skin gets, the more likely you'll break out.

If you are having 1 or two minor blemishes.. . Just roll with them, and don't let it bother you.

**To answer your question.. . You do not need to use a lemon or a face cleanser. Just use a good soap (like Dove) that isn't HARSH (like DIAL) and rub gently to clean your face. . And PAT dry using a towel (do not rub or scrub. . Or irritate the skin)

    And good luck.

    .

Good advise in part but not Dove. Too much perfume and fatty acids.

I recommend Pears, more pure and less suds, more cleansing.
