I had an old TV. I had only an antenna, because I live in a rural area with no available cable. I had been using a digital converter box for the last year. I was able to record on a VCR/DVR that has no built in tuner. I could only record the channel the TV was on.

Now I finally bought a digital TV and the VCR/DVR will only play, it no longer records. How is that possible. What do I need to make it work.

I was told an RF modulator would do the trick, but that is not the case.

I was also told the antenna had to go diredtly into the VCR/DVR, but it doesn't even have an antenna in outlet. So how did it work before I got the digital TV??

If know the answers, please share. I am losing sleep over this.
