How to connect bathroom fan/light using two switches and 14-2 wire?
I have two switches where 14-2 wire (white, black and bare wires) goes to a combo bathroom ceiling fan/light. One switch is for the light and one for the fan. It looks like the white wires from both 14-2 wires are all connected to both fan and light white wires. The black wire from the light switch is connected to blue wire for the light and the black wire from the fan switch is connected to the black wire for the fan. The bare wire from both 14-2 wires are attached to the metal fan/light housing. It seems to work, but is this connected correctly?

Hold it, please. Was this equipment installed and working properly? If so what changed to make you look at the wiring of the switches.

If I were trouble shooting a problem, I would first determine if the supply to the fixture is in the ceiling or is the supply going to the switches first.

If the supply is in the ceiling, then the wiring to and from the switches is incorrect!

If the power is supplied via the switches then I need a better description of switch connections.

Can you please attach pictures of both the ceiling outlet wiring and the wall switch wiring?

I not sure on how to attach a photo, So I'll try and describe it better. The point about the wall switches: one switch is for the fan only, a separate wall switch is for the light. I'm not messing with the wall switches. Both fan and light are in the same fixture. I'm replacing an old fixture with a new one. So far have connected the new fixture the same way as the old fixture was connected. The wires are connected with one white wire from both 14-2 wires that originate from the wall switches are all connected to both fan and light white wires with one wire nut. The black wire from the 14-2 wire is connected to blue wire for the light in the fixture with a wire nut and the black wire in the 14-2 wire that comes from the fan switch is connected to the black wire with a wire nut for the fan portion of the fixture. The bare wire from both 14-2 wires are attached to the metal fan/light housing. It seems to work, but is this connected correctly?

    I hope this clarifies,
    Thanks

Let's try it this way, please.

When you removed the old fixture, was there only two cables from the switches in the ceiling or were there three cables?
