It was this animation... drawn in this chinese watercolour style. All I remember of the story line was that there was this boy, who has these animals and one day this monster in a lake eats his deer and he tried to kill it and fails, and then goes by this mountain hermit or something to train him, and there was this stick that moved on its own, and a prince, and the boy learned how to turn invisible and I think he and the prince were able to kill the monster in the end and the monster was really this lady who was like a witch or something...


Does this strike any kind of memory? I used to watch it as a kid and now I really want to see it again.
