So me and my 4 best friends go to the movies and the one that I like won't talk to me. We then go back to his place and chill for a while. Then when it is time for me to leave he doesn't say anything but is looking at me and . I gather my things and when I am walking to my can my mom tells me that he said he wanted to come up and visit me for the weekend commin up. I am confesed as to how someone can't talk to me for the whole night and try to say they want to spend time with me. If seems that he only talks to me when we are alone and won't say a word to me when we are with our other friends. What does this mean does he like me and doesn't know how to say it or does he just want me to myself?

I think he's shy and maybe a little confused as how to ask you. You said you've been friends for a while, taking the leap from friends to coupledom is a HUGE leap. Plus he could be afraid of expressing his feelings and not having them returned. As for not talking to you with your other friends around, he might be afraid of exposing his true feelings without the benefit of discussing them with you first. (and getting teased for letting something slip) I find it sweet that he talked with your mother about his intentions. It says a lot about this gentle soul. I wish you well and God bless;)

It sounds like he is shy and nervous. Give him time and when you are with him try and make him feel comfortable. Perhaps start some light conversation with him and see if he starts to come out of his shell a bit.

Two shy people coming together. He probably contacted your mom looking for some info. You could break possibly break the silence by even saying, "I'm shy but once you get to know me I open up." That lets him know he's got something in common with you, and that your open to talking to him, so it allows him to be more comfortable.
