Chatue by moen bathtub faucet dripping?
An old moen bathtub faucet is leaking. It sounds as if it is not shutting off all the way. I have taken all the parts off and am down to the rough in but do not know where to go from here. How do I get the stem out?

First call 1-800-BUY-MOEN and get a free replacement cartridge.

    Turn off water.
Remove the handle. Remove the chrome sleeve, remove the retaining clip that holds the cartridge in. Pull cartridge out of the faucet.

Install new cartridge. Install cartridge in the open position. That is, with the center pulled out. This allows the air trapped in the body of the faucet to escape. Reinstall chrome sleeve and handle.
