I have three kids. I have filed for legal separation. I am the custodial parent. My husband is mad that I am filing for full custody. He will not let me go to my home of Hawaii to see my dying grandma with the kids unless I give him joint custody. Kids want to go. What can I do?

Go to court and ask the Judge to allow you to go in the circumstances.

First I am not sure he can even stop you, who said you could not go ?

Going on vacation or for a trip is not like moving and unless there is a custody order in place not allowing you to move there should be no reason at all.

So is there a court order saying you can not travel on a trip, out of state??
