Just replaced the Moen cartridge and still do not have hot water.
When I turn the knob to hot the water does not even trickle out.
Is the problem deeper than a cartridge replacement?

Yes, it could be. Remove cartridge again then turn on hot water briefly to flush out faucet body of faucet.
