I have a TRANE XL80 Furnace, the furnace “Blower” started to make humming and noise and it wouldn't turn, I pulled the assembly out I turned the switch on and the blower can on,I oiled the shaft and put everything back,turned the switch on and the motor kept humming,did this 3 times with same result.PLEASE HELP I CAN DO THE WORK MYSELF.

What you are describing is most likely a bad start capacitor. It is a small rectangular or round device, about the size of a pack of cigarettes and is usually located on the motor or housing, some are silver, some are black. Turn off the power, short the 2 terminals and then remove it. Go to an electrical supply store or a HVAC company and get a replacement that is as close to yours in voltage and microfarads. Reinstall and it should work.
