    Crown infection
I went to my dentist 2 months ago he said I needed a crown on my left bottom molar. It was a silver filling that over the years had partly fallen out. So I went along with doing the crown. I have been in bad pain every since. Keep in mind it's been almost 2 months. About 2 weeks ago my tooth had a big knot come up on the outer side of the crown and down in my gum line there is another knot. I had a full bottle of antibiotic, I have taken and the swelling is the same. My jaw is not swollen like it would if it were an abscess. I feel weird. Sick, kind of like the flu. Do you think it is some type of infection. The day of the crown. I left the office and not even 20-30 min. later I had to go back to him. Because I was in the worst pain of my life He gave me 3 more shoots of novacaine and a script for pain medicine and medicine. I have no dental or health insurance. I have already paid him for
The work $788. Someone please help me? I'm scared...

Wow I am not a dental expert, but I have had in infection, and that about sounds like what I had. The dentist had to cut my gums and let them drain... it was disgusting!

You need to call your dentist though.. Immediately! And tell them the situation. I don't know if they will cover it since this seems to be caused from the repairs... speak with them and see if you can get some assistance...
