I might be pregnant but the recent test was negative
The last time I had sex with my now exboyfriend was around the first week of December. About a week later I had a full normal period which was 7 days long(normal). I started my current period Wednesday and by Friday I was no longer bleeding, not even spotting. This has never occurred before and the last two and a half weeks I have had a lot of lower back pain. I've also had a really bad headache for one day where waves of nausea made me want to run for the toilet at times, and for another day or two I had random nausea throughout the day and evening. I just took a pregnancy test at around 6:10 p.m. at work and it came up negative. I was talking to my exboyfriend who has a son with his exwife, and he says her first pregnancy test at a month and a half came up negative but it turned out a few weeks later that she really was pregnant. Could I be pregnant? I am well enough off financially and with the help of my family I could easily support the child(should I be pregnant) without child support, I want nothing to do with my exboyfriend or his money, what rights must I grant him should I be pregnant if I don't want child support?

Well, sounds like a slightly complicated story, so I will do my best.

I don't believe you are pregnant simply because you had 2 periods. I don't know your age, and that plays a major role in hormone levels, so this could be hormonal. You say you had a period for 2 days here recently, this too could be related to your age, hormones and/or stress. All 3 of these, together or separate, could have caused this short period.

Now, as for the HPT, it is important that you take it first thing in the morning no matter what the directions on the box say. See, there is a hormone called hCG that is the pregnancy hormone. It is most concentrated in first morning urine since you have not urinated all night while sleeping. If you take the test later in the day you run the risk of a negative result because the concentration of hCG is much lower.

As for rights, once a paternity test determines that he is the father, he is automatically granted rights. You would have to go to court to have any rights you do not want taken away. Now, understand that he may not agree to this, he may want visitation and the like, but to take away his rights without him agreeing you would have to prove him a total and complete unfit parent.
