My Sony has a Hidden Partition, I would Google your model number and restore/hidden partition or something like that. F10, Fsomething?

If you have formatted the recovery partition then you have to order disks from DELL, or maybe the shop you bought it from might have a set. The retail shop I work in we have backup copies of the original dell disks.

If you can not acquire disks try one of the following.

As far as I know, he dell recovery partition can be accessed in 2 ways.
The Ctrl + F11 key combo. Switch it on and keep pressing the Ctrl + F11 together and rapidly. You should get a norton ghost screen. Just follow the prompts. It always takes me a few tries before I get in.

The other way is by switching it on and pres F8 constantly till the Safe Mode options appear. Scroll to select the "repair computer" option. It will continue loading to the 'Startup and repair' screen. Wait for the scan to complete. You should get a option to "View Advanced Options for System Recovery", click on it.
Now you should get the "Choose a recovery tool" page. (VIEW ATTACHED IMAGE - dell.jpg)
The very last option should be the dell factory image restore. Click it and you're on your way.

Just remember that doing this will wipe all excising data on the PC and reload it to original state...

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
