Haram to use for what is Haram, as outside marriage, intercourse during menses, or anal sex, for they are forbidden in the Kitaab and Sunnah. The Messenger of Allaah -sAaws- has also discouraged the practise of throwing the semen outside the vagina after intercourse in order to avoid having children, and he said it is "small killing of children", or the like what he said -sAaws. And that is comparable to using a condom. He -sAaws- whished muslims who really follow him to have many children. If you don`t know shirk and kufr and stay away from them, or make salaah 5 times, then please don`t have children either. In any case under the conditions mentioned before it may be makruuH, but not Haraam, because a person of knowledge from students of Ibn Al-Uthaymeen -may Allaah have mercy upon him- told me it would still be allowed for us to use protection (we have got already 5 kids in a kaafir country).
