Amana LE8317W2 Dryer will not start when hot. If the unit is cold it starts every time, but if we are trying to dry multiple loads back to back or if you stop it mid-cycle to check a load, it will not restart. The cooling or recycle time seems to be inconsistent too. Sometimes it will restart after only a few minutes of cooling, while other times it can take much longer (15 minutes or more).

Possible that one of the high limit safety switchs is opening-functioning properly. This is suggested by "doing multiple loads". Try turning down the temp a bit and make sure the vent is clean, this is a big reason for overheating.
