My boyfriend is on parole ,he beat me up and I pressed charges against him.
My boyfriend was 15 years in jail and is now on parole for 3.Couple days ago he got jelaous over my kids father and he beat me up .He hit me on my head many times, violently shook me ,pulled a lot of my hair, kick me to the wall.He Threatened to kill me ,dragged to the bathroom turn on the water so no one would hear screaming and said he's going to kill me .He had a kitchen knife in his back pocket.I begged him to let me go and he did. Then he hit me again.I was scare to call the police cause I still love him. That happened with my infant in the same room.Next day I did go to press charges and he is charged with ;ass3 and menancing;.That happened 5 days ago and he is not arrested yet.Yesterday detective called. He suppose to be arrested within couple days. Please tell me why it takes so long to arrest him and how serious is his situation? Thank You!

Well, I've dealt with the cops a lot in my life, and I think that what your doing is the right thing, and maybe he is hiding out from them. When he gets arrested I think you should probley move and not let him or most people know, its best to keep you and your family safe.

    Hello e:

Go back to the police department and don't leave until you have your answer... I HATE cops.

Do they know where he is ? Have they formally pressed charges.

Next time don't wait a day to call the police ( well next time you may not be alive to call them.)

And to be honest, "you love him" why, so by the time trial comes, you will love him again and don't want to testify

Domestic violence is usually only a misdemeanor , cops want felony arrests . If the guy had some crack on him they would have brought the swat team . Besides, the cops were probably home beating their own wife and kids.

And if your not happy with what he tells you, go to internal affairs, the chief and mayor. Don't stop till you hit the top.

You need to let someone know that he has violated his parole by touching you etc. He shouldn't get away with that. I suggest you move so when he gets out again he can't find you!
