    Nameplate details of induction motors
In induction motor nameplates Why the manufacturers do not give no load and locked rotor currents which are very useful for engineers? Can some one quote relevant NEC/UL/NEMA standard/regulation regarding the nameplate data? Thanks

If I recall correctly, all motor nameplates provide LRA ratings.

I have not seen no load ratings, and not sure why those would be relevant.

Perhaps you should subscribe to NEMA, as this is the Standard for electric motor nameplate data.

No load current cannot be calculated, manufacturer should indicate in name plate because 1)A soft starter manufacturer says the size of power capacitor required for PFC=sq rt 3xvoltsxno load ampx0.8
2)After rewinding a motor to verify the no load A

No-load current is required to check a motor after rewinding as well as to adjust low-current(no-load) relay.
