Can I travel to Russia with two passports and two different names?
I am planning to go to Russia. I have two passports: Russian with my maiden name and American with my new married name. What name should I use when buying tickets? How about when returning back to the US - the name in American passport won't match the name on the ticket.

You should have had your American passport changed to reflect your married name. Seeing as you haven't done that, I would take a copy of the marriage cert. with you.

Purchase the tickets in your married name.

The US passport does have her American name.

    This is absolutely useless advice.

    Hello k:

I'm not sure what advice you want... NOBODY here can tell you what Russian customs will do, and NOBODY can tell you how US customs will deal with you when you return...

But, I can tell you this... IF there's ANY question about your nationality when you return, the US government won't be nice to you... Now, I don't know if that means they'll sweep you away to a black site for some enhanced interrogation, or they'll lock you up in a detention center until they get it figured out... But, I can tell you that you won't like it.

I wouldn't think the Russians will be much better. But, you know them better than me.

So, the advice I have, is to go with ONE passport that MATCHES all your other documents...
