I have been looking for this movie for the past year about either a horse or a unicorn and a little boy. I was born in 89 and its older than that. The boys name way ivan I think. He had 2 or three older brothers that where mean to him. I remember something about hay stacks in the begaining. The horse could fly and he rode on her(the horse) a couple times but that's all I can remember and this is killing me. I have to figure it out.

I remember watching 'The Magic Pony' about a young boy named Ivan and a blue pony that helps him win favor with the Tsar. He traps a firebird (using grain alcohol) for the Tsar. The Tsar also wants a beautiful maiden from the sea, so the pony tells Ivan how to snatch her up in her tent. Finally, the Tsar wants to be young and strong (worthy of marrying the lovely maiden), so the magic pony tells Ivan to set up large baths of boiling milk, boiling water, and freezing water. I think the Tsar dies (at least, in the old Russian version I've read he dies), but the pony blows on the baths and Ivan comes out as a young adult. He marries the maiden.
