Why are you having overnight visitations anyway, if its and infant shouldn't it be with you, and why don't you ask the people who have custidy of it?

There is no reason not to give visitations for infants if the other party is one of the parents.

Both of you, father and mother, need a court ordered custody, ( not being married or not living together does not effect it) It will spell out custody, and also visitation and child support.

How old is the child, some courts ( and it will be more judge by judge) may require the child to be about 6 months before overnight is allowed, but they will have 4 to 6 hours outside of mothers house. They will never be required to visit within the mom's house.

But by 6 months and some courts right away, the courts normally will allow overnight and weekend visits.

They may require the father to take a parenting class.
