I am 17 and I want to live with my mom can I legally stay with her?
    Hello
I really want to live with my mom, she just recently got joint custody but the ruling meant I couldn't live with her all the time. I am 17 and I went back because my dad said there was no other choice, but could I have said no and not gone? I have a car also but I am sure they will make me give it up if I leave again.

You have no legal grounds to do it.Sorry but that's the truth.

No, you can not just say no, both parents are bound by the court order. If you refuse in this case the dad can have the mother found in contempt of court, she is required to force you to go.

And they may take any and all things away if you do not show respect and obey them in this.

Once you are 18 you can choose.
