Last week my dog got sick with this rare hemalitic anemia sorry not sure how to spell it .the problem is that we tried to save him with blood transfusions and medicine he never made it out of the hospital 4 days of work on him the only thing they said that something triggered it off . Not sure what any one had or knows about this could you help us rest we don't want this to happen again he was only 3 years old.mini sable dachshund.

Here's a pretty good article about Hemolytic anemia. Turns out doxies are on the list of breeds with a genetic predisposition to this autoimmune disease. I'm so sorry for your loss.
