I just installed a Hampton Bay ceiling fan and a Harbor Breeze remote last week (1/16/2011) Everything was working fine until yesterday. The remote stopped communicating with the fan. The big problem now is that the fan will turn on and adjust speeds at the pull chain fine, but the lights will not respond. The lights (which worked perfectly for 6 days) won't turn on by the remote or by the pull chain. What could have gone wrong?

Got any kids, check to see if the dip switches in the remote and the switches inside the receiver in the canopy still match perfectly. While you are at it double check all wire connections inside that canopy.
