Can a landlord bill me for back taxes in month to month commercial lease
My 3 year commercial lease expired and landlord put me on a month to month, although I was paying higher rent I agreed to avoid lease commitments, now he wants me to pay back taxes and operating expenses of over $1000 dollars.
Can he do that or monthly rent is what I should be obligated for

This is in Vancouver BC, I have to vacate next month anyway

Also I do not an actual monthly lease agreement with the landlord at all
