I have a marley 2500 series baseboard htr, 120 volts, do I wire it at the panel as I would any other 120 v circuit. Wired as directed with a single break thremostat at the unit, but has no directions for wiring at panel. I wired it as a normal 120 circuit and the breaker tripped immediately. It has a yellow wire from element to a safety limit switch and a black pig tail also from the switch, also has a white wire pig tailed and running to other side of unit and wire-nutted to other side of element.

Look at the t'stat. Is it marked "line" and "load"? If so, black to line, yellow to heater terminal(load), white to neutral terminal, ground to frame. .

It shouldn't. It is assumed that someone wiring this to an electrical panel knows how to hook it up.

I'm sorry, but I don't follow this description at all.
Do you have a model number for the heater and thermostat?
