Sure. But be aware of possible issues with frozen pipes.

Does it mean that garage sinks have other pipes (which don't freeze) in comparison to laundry sinks?

No. I would simply recommend that you have a shut off valve in the heated area of the house (basement for example) so you can turn water off to the garage sink in winter. In winter you shut off the water supply to the sink, and you should also open the hot and cold water taps to accommodate any expansion of water in the pipes due to freezing.

No issue with a laundry sink in a garage as long as you can get a waste pipe, a vent pipe and water pipes to it.

If your garage is so cold in the winter that you need to winterize and shut the sink down then you will want to pitch the water pipes from the sink to the home in such a way that when you shut the water off inside the house you can open the faucet at the garage and drain the water pipes completely. You would also pour an environmentally friendly antifreeze or similar product in the PTRAP to keep the PTRAP from freezing or releasing sewer gasses into the garage over the winter. You'd reverse the above come the spring thaw.

Finally, with that being said, there are plenty of laundry sinks in garages that are used year 'round so you would have to decide how often the garage door(s) get opened and just how cold the garage gets to know whether you would need to winterize as mentioned above!
