Hanger caught in pipe going into the wall under bathroom sink
I tried to stick a wire hanger into the pipe that comes out of the wall under the sink in the bathroom, I made a hook on the end of the hanger to clean out the pipe and it got hooked on something and I can't remove it. Do you have any suggestions. It was a stupid thing to do, I know.

What kind of pipe, PVC, ABS, copper, galvanized? If it is copper or galvanized then you really shouldn't have an issue giving the hanger a really good yank.. coat hanger will unbend and pull out. If plastic pipe then you are smart to take a step back... ;)

If plastic pipe all I can tell you is to keep working the hanger in and out. If necessary, try taking a pair of pliers and twisting the hanger... see if that dislodges the hanger... it should.

    Back to you...

I think it must be pvc. It is white plastic looking.

Sounds like you are hooked on a fitting or vent joint. I'd pull harder, the hanger should yield before the pipe.
