Hi lovebug, I know this really sounds like a good idea but you must be so diligent if you are going to take on any baby's from three months on. So many young mums having to get out and work and trying to find a competent sitter for a young one.

You will have to have a lot of liability insurance, have state licenses to accommodate the service and be competitive in an already over stressed home based business for taking care of children's needs.

Why is there a need for babysitting businesses

Because most families have to have two incomes to survive, and their kids can't stay home alone.

If this is homework than do your research. It's not hard to find information about babysitting businesses. It will take some time, but then, that's the point of homework, getting you to work, to learn how to research.
