Did you uninstall or delete? More information is needed like what audio device. A device is usually hardware but Windows Media Player is software. Don't be afraid to give a lot of information.
I agree with the above poster as more information is required. What device specifically. Were there any hardware/software changes, installs, updates etc..
You could try running this little utility: SIW | System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala
Select Hardware > Video
The screen will look like this:
SIW | Video
Once you knnow what the video card is you can get the drivers online at the manufacturers web site.
Try doing a windows update or go to the computer manufacturer's site
