The L-1B is for a specialized knowledge employee transferring to a related US entity. Is he employed by a company with a US operation?

That's very good. How about your friend, the one you posted about previously?

There are 2 components, the specialized knowledge and the employer transferring you. Please note the knowledge must be specific and not general industry experience.

Is he employed by a company that has a US operation? Are they willing to transfer him to the US in a specialized knowledge position?

If you want answers, you must provide information. If not, have him discuss with the company immigration attorney. Good luck.

Good, then he needs to have the company attorney prepare and file the L-1B petition, get it approved and then have your friend apply for the L-1B visa at the US consulate.

Remember, specialized knowledge is not the same as having a degree. Good luck!
