What country were you born in?

Many countries allow you to "register' the birth information now and they will generate a birth certificate for you. if not, then you can usually get several "affidavits of birth" from adults that have first hand knowledge of your birth. This is generally, grandparents, adult uncles and aunts, family friends, etc.

Your immigration attorney should be able to answer these questions and get you the sample affidavits that are acceptable by the USCIS.
