    Dripping bathtub faucet
I have a Delta faucet with a single knob, it is dripping from the faucet in the shower. How can I fix it.?

    Thanks,

Ann if your leak is coming from the valve body itself, I would start by taking the handle off. Depending on your type of handle, will either be an allan screw or a regular phillips or straight. Once the handle is removed you will see a compression nut that screws against your valve cartridge. The nut could have possibly loosened up and cause a small leak.

Be sure not to loosen this nut without your main water supply being shut off.

    Hi Alice,

Your Delta valve,(see image) does no have a cartridge,(sorry malex27), It has seats and springs, (see image, #7) that should be changed. Shut the water off and open up the valve. Purchase new seats and springs from a plumbing shop. Before you reassemble the valve turn the water on for a minute to flush out the supplies. Good luck, Tom
