Sudan is in terrible crisis. Your bank can tell you how you will be taxed and you pay them out of his funds. Make sure he understands. He probably does.

What is puzzling though is why he wants to do this. London is where many people and governments feel safe putting money. If some regime in Sudan is planning to take his money from London, they might try to get to it from an account you are trustee of. But as a real friend, not someone you met online, I would take the risk.

Whether this is legit money or not... that is for you to decide.
