    Bake him shortbread sandwich cookies filled with red raspberry jam. Bake brownies. Bake something! He will remember that throughout his life and tell his grandchildren some day.

    My friend made little cards that spelled "i love you" or something like that and put them inside balloons and he had to pop them so see what they said... cooking/baking is also a great way to show appreciation!
