I understand the child labor laws and stuff, but honestly, kids should be allowed to take REAL jobs during the summer! I mean, c'mon! It's not like we're stupid!! Any suggestions?
Big Thanks!

I know child labor laws can seem unfair when you want to work and can't, but the intent is to product children from being forced to work and from work being able to interfere with their ability to finish their education.
As long as your parents are OK with it, you could always try asking your neighbors for work. Things like washing their cars, walking their dogs, housesitting when they go out of town, maybe riding your bike to go to the grocery store for small orders. Maybe you can mow lawns or help with other household chores.
Kids can get jobs. Mostly it depends on what area your in and what resources are available. I grew up mowing lawns for extra money. So mostly it depends on what you can and can't do. The only limitation is you. Also its very important that your parents give permission for whatever you choose.
Thanks! My mom is reading these with me and I think we have found something I can do over the summer. It feels super awesome to have people that can answer my questions and especially in the amount of time you answered in. thanks again!
Thanks for your prompt and helpful answer to my question. My parents are helping me look, and I think I have found what I am going to do over the summer.
Good Luck to you and don't be disappointed by any speed bumps. Just keep at it and you will be fine.
Well there is one jod for a 11 year old boy or gril to be a singer :)
I suppose they can get a babysitting job if there parents allow it
