    Paralegal with first degree assault
Is it possible to get hired as a paralegal with a felony first degree assault?

Depends on your definition of Paralegal - I've seen people who are file clerks classified as Paralegals.

Are you talking about someone with a certificate or other specific education?

    In general, I'd say no.

    Hello m:

    Sure. There's no license requirement.

We don't know where OP is. They ARE licensed in Canada (specifically, Ontario) and there are various levels of certification in various States, some of which require background checks.

And, of course, the definition of "Paralegal" varies.

    Hello Judy:

Ok. I'm not married to my pronouncements... I was wrong back in '03, if I recall.

Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.
