My mom and dad are about to go through a bad divorce. I want to know if I can keep my dog. I live in Dallas, Texas.

Normally such things don't affect family pets, although they may decide where it will go, with your mother or father.

I understand from your other thread that you live with your Dad. Where is your dog?

A dog is a possession and either party can be awarded that possession.

Doesn't your father want the dog? Or does your mother have the dog and won't give it back?

And often one side moves to a home or apartment where pets are not allowed. And sadly in bad divorces, they use children as weapons to fight against the other.
