    State of NC divorce laws
Does a couple whose only been married for 3 months in the state of NC still have to be legally separated for a period of 1 yr before filing for divorce? Also, can annulment be granted on the grounds of deception? Spouse was not made aware of husband's status as a sex offender.

You can apply for an annulment, the court does not have to accept it, but it is worth a try. Often it is a case by case review.

I will ask what type of sex offender, I know several people who were 17 or 18 and had sex with their 15 or 16 year old girlfriends and they will be on the sex offender for the rest of their lives.

So what is he like ? How long have you dated, before marriage. What is his side of the story ? Wast drinking involvled ?

I am not going to say it was true or not true, or pass any judgement, but as a police officer and as a investigator and having worked in the court system, and to be honest having been accused of my things in my career I will say that it is not uncommon for one side in a relationship to charge the other with violence of various types.

So what does he say about it ?

And assuming you have known him for a couple of years, at least one year ? Do you see any anger or violence in his nature ?
