My electric keeps tripping and now I only have half of my electric in the kitchen?
I live in the Uk and for 3 days my electric keeps tripping on of the circuit breakers and the main switch, I switch it back on and sometimes it lasts for hours other times it lasts for only a few minutes, the electric tripped in the early hours of this morning and when I went to put it back on again I noticed that none of the circuit breakers had tripped so I put the electric back on and turned some of the electrical appliances off from the plugs including the cooker, but still the electric tripped so once again I put the electric back on, and it stayed on for a few hours then tripped again this morning, my husband put the electric back on only to find that we only have half our electric working in the kitchen. When the electric trips it turns off half the appliances in the kitchen, the TV in the lounge, the fish tank which is also in the lounge the lounge light, the TV in our girls bedroom and a socket in our bedroom and the bathroom light, I would be very grateful if you could get back to me asap as I'm really worried that this could be a fire hazzard. Kind regards Heather

Anything of electrical nature can be a hazard without knowing the exact cause. There may be a loose connection causing heat to trip the breaker, or there may just be a defective breaker.

Best to call in a qualified electrician to troubleshoot the problem.
