    Lost my boyfriend
I lost my boyfriend in a car crash almost seven years ago now. I still dry every day about the loss of him and I can't seem to let myself get on with my life. It has changed the person I now am and I don't want to be this cold lonely person any more. Can any one please give me an answer on what to do to take the pain away after all this time and let me live my life again?

    Thanks.

Seven years... Sorry but I have to say its time to seek out counseling to help you... you should have gotten over the worst of it years ago. Its clearly something you are going to need the help of a professional to learn to deal with.

Deaths of people close to you will never be easy... but if you are unable to get past it after a reasonible grieving period... its a sign you need a litle help and can't do it alone.

Nothing to be ashamed of... sometime we just need a little help.

I have been thinking that over the past few months. I don't want any one to think I am over exaggerating though. My best friend also got murdered a month before his death. This all happened when I was only 18 years of age. It has been very tough over the years. I just needed that bit of advice from someone else.

    Thanks.

Surround yourself with good people, friends and family that have a positive influence on you, and keep yourself busy! Also, try to meet some new guys, even just to hang out with them as friends!

Really, best and only advice at this point, get professional help. We will always miss a close loved one, and at 7 years, if we hear a special song, perhaps a tear, but not crying everyday, I have lost two wives ( Susan and Melba) and I may still talk to them once and a while, and I remember the good , but also remember some of the bad too.

In fact part of getting back to normal is to live your life in a way that they would want, to remember that they would want you to be happy,
