I want have two thermostats in the house one for a/c and one for heat.
I have a programmable themostat that operates both heat and a/c.
I would like to add a thermostat closer to the kitchen to keep it warmer
And make the programmable thermostat now in the hallway for a/c only..
How can I wire these two thermostats and make that work?

    Thank you for your responses..

All that you want to do can be done, but it would take a lot of doing to explain it all to you ,I will tell you that the tstat needs to be in the center /somewhat of the home, if not you going to have hot and cold spots because the tstat controls the temp. of the area where tstat is mounted, when that room gets warm to the setting s of the tstat it will turn off furnace therefore leaving other rooms cold
