Hello, My Pug puppy is of 4 months. One day his rectum comes out with blood while doing stool, I take him to the Vet he told me there is nothing he can do after stitching and blocking rectum. He also told me not to give much food to the puppy. After that my puppy got at least 20 stitches again and again in fast few days and he is now very weak. I am very helpless he's suffering a lot from last two months from a serious problem. Please suggest me what to do?

I am so sorry to hear this, I would start by getting a second opinion from another vet. I wish there was more that we can offer, but if your vet doesn't know what is happening there isn't much we can offer.

Was your dog straining to have his bowel movements? Did the vet mention anything about perineal hernia or anal fissure? I have heard about intestinal infections causing anal splitting. I am so sorry for your puppy. I hope with a second opinion provides better results. Please keep us posted.

Take the dog to another vet. Look up prolapsed rectum on Google and you may find information on there. Also, add a little plain metamucil to your dogs food so he doesn't get constipated. If its dry food, sprinkle olive oil on the food and sprinkle some plain metamucil on the food. Definitely consult with another vet.
