How high do you have to raise the new bath off the concrete slab? There is no lines in the building now, so we would have to put in all new. What is the degree the pipes have to run? Help

Please explain the building better - how old, how big, how far from water and sewer.

Usually you either knock trenches in the slab or build up the floor with 2 x 8's.

Drains need to drop 1/4" per foot if 3" or smaller. A4" drain is allowed 1/8" per foot. Since you have not given us needed info about the distance to the main stack we can't do much more. Can you post a drawing or picture?

Thanks for your help. The building was built about 1900 (+or-) it is part of our down town area. From water to sewer about 20ft. Should we build up on 2 x 12's?

You do know that most of us would jackhammer the floor and install the drain below the existing floor. Are you thinking this would be cheaper because it certainly will not be better

Never a bathroom, but is there are sewer line in the building? It isn't clear. How are you planning connect to it?
