How do I get on my sons birth certificate?
I have a little boy with my ex partner, she keeps refusing to put me on the birth certificate and keeps coming up with useless excusses why she won't do it, I think she just doesn't want me to have any rights for my little boy. What is my best way around this to gain rights, was thinking of a dna test so I can prove to courts he is mine. Any ideas? I live in the UK.

DNA is a sure way to prove it positively, for certain... but its possible the mother knows something you don't. Like it might not be yours.

Yea that has crossed my mind once or twice, she keeps saying I need to proof I am good enough to be in his life, if I am his father I am his father, its not a game show where I have to win to get on his birth certificate, a DNA is the best way to go

Now... you might have to petition the court to force a test. Being you are in the UK, I don't know a simple assertion you might be the dad is enough.

Hard to argue the DNA results... either way. It's the most positive proof you can have in today's world.
