    conservation of mass dictates that 1.1g of water boiled results in 1.1g of steam produced. The hot water vapor may appear to have no weight, only because its density is now less (mass per volume); it retains its actual mass.

    the same goes for the salt solution: 2.5g salt + 100g water = 102.5 g salt solution
