how does crown meet window molding
I'm putting in crown in my basement and my basement window's are trimed. Do I cut the window trim and put a cheat block and run the crown to it? Looking for ideas on the best way to do this. The basement window is 32x22 and the top of the window meets the ceiling.

If windows are sliders or swing out there are 2 ways u can do this. It is what is appealing to your eye that counts.

1st method is to cut a 45 degree return in crown molding at trim.

2nd method= cut window trim to bottom of crown molding.

Install 1'' wood stock 1/8'' lower then bottom of crown molding in window area.

    Install continuance crown molding.

    Good luck
