I am on a State Of Florida Felony Probation, I am unemployed, and do not have the ability to pay my probation, can I request that a lien be placed on me, so that when I do get employment, I can pay off the lien. I don't want to be violated for non payment.

You can ask, however chances are they won't go for it. Try harder to get a job (I don't mean that in a mean way). Think of it this way, the point of letting you out on probation is to allow you to show you can be a productive meber of society, if you aren't why should you be allowed the priveledge of probation?

No, they want their payment, this is not a car note, they do not place "liens" on property for their money, You either pay or you don't pay.

What you do need to do, is on a regular basis report to the PO and inform them that you can not pay.

Also keep a record of how many places every day you apply to, both online and in person.

If you show you are applying at 10 plus places a day, with at least 1/2 in person, the court will be less likely to violate you . But they can.

Next I gave you a warning for being a jerk and being rude to someone trying to help you, I also deleted a couple of your comments, First you are not suppose to use the comment feature for that, but should have "answered" your question to add more info **

They did give you a "fair" answer, that he doubted, he should have said no, but was most likely trying to be nice.
Also the answer you can ask, is just it, even if the answer is no ( which it is) you can ask, because it shows you are trying to find ways to comply.

While you may not have liked the answer, it was not inaccurate and therefore a negative rating was inappropriate.

By the way I counted two spelling errors in his post, both of which could have been typos. I count FOUR misspellings in your posts including twice misspelling the word answer the same way. So people in glass houses...

To answer your question you can't place a lien on a person. A lien is placed on assets or real property. Its used to prevent the sale of such until the lien is satisfied. Now if you have such property then you can sell it to pay restitution or they MIGHT allow you to pledge it as security for the restitution.

They already HAVE a lien on your body... If you have a lien on your house and don't pay, they take your house... If you don't pay your fees, they're going to take your body. What do you think they'd take under YOUR "lien" scenario?

First we don't have a "staff", we have volunteers who share their knowledge and expertise with others.

Second, you can question our credibility all you want, but you won't find a different answers. The facts are as we stated. A lien is an encumbrance placed against an asset to prevent its sale until the lien is satisfied. So you cannot "request that a lien be placed on you". Indentured servitude was outlawed in the 19th century. You can sign a promissory note, if they will allow, but that would tend to be redundant, since they already have a court order that you are required to make payment.

So your only choice is to negotiate with your probation officer to see if they will give you a break rather than violate you. But if you are as rude and crude as you appear here I doubt if they will give you much consideration. I've already spent more time on you then you deserve.
