I changed the water pump, after noticing that it was leaking, and thought that might have been then problem. The heater coil hoses are not getting hot. Any ideas?

Is the lack of heated coolant to the heater core a new symptom? Or did you just notice it after replacing the pump? You may have a partially clogged or congested heater core that is preventing sufficient heated coolant flow.
Your truck it now eight years old so if you haven't regularly flushed the cooling system, or perhaps already replaced the heater core, you may need to consider that now.
Might be air that got in the system when you changed the water pump, it likes to build up a pocket in the heater core and lines going to it some times
