It can sometimes happen where a woman or a man will experience what is called secondary infertility. This is when someone has already had a child, or several, but finds it difficult to become pregnant again.

There are various reasons for this, but it may not be the issue in your situation at all. I know seven months feels like a long time when you are wanting to become pregnant, but it may simply be a matter of giving yourself some more time. Most couples will become pregnant in the first year of actively trying, but some find it will take a bit longer even when there are no fertility concerns.

If, however, you are in your 30's, you may want to speak to your doctor about when they would suggest some initial testing for both you and your partner. Often after six months of actively trying (this is after determining when you are most likely ovulating, watching for signs of possible ovulation, using means to track ovulation, etc), and you are in your mid-30's, some doctors will start some testing to rule out any fertility problems.
