This is normal. It probably means that you'll soon start your period. Brown usually means old blood. It can also happen when you're young and just starting to menstruate.

The brown discharge most likely is your period :) Even as an adult I still get it that way sometimes, then it turns more red. So congrats, you do have your period. Don't worry, this discharge most certainly does not mean you cannot have children.
